responsibility of the deacons, these funds are used to assist members of our

The Champion's Centre Inc.
is a not for profit Christian charity organization that provides permanent
low-income housing to the disadvantaged and homeless. The Champion's Centre
offers room and board to between 12-18 tenants with basic amenities, while also
operating a café and antique shop at the same location. The café and antique
shop generate a source of income for the centre apart from donations and
fund-raising. The goal of The Champion's Centre is to encourage people who
struggle to live independently to reintegrate back into society primarily by
providing a setting where tenants can experience a meaningful sense of community
affiliation.

Painters
Needed:
Come on out to help us finish painting the second coat at Ponoka Christian
School on July 28 and 29 @ 9 am. We have had such great support so far
and are d.v. hoping to finish it these last two days. If your gifts do not lie
in holding a paint brush or roller, but you are still willing to lend a hand, we
would love to see help in some last minute cleaning. God has richly blessed us
with a beautiful building and how better to glorify Him than to show our duty
and responsibility to care for what He has given us! Questions….contact
Volunteers
Needed!
Looking for some fun-loving energetic people who love to be with young
people. We need some volunteers to help out at the annual Teen Club camp out to
be held August 11 & 12. We need some cooks and someone with good game ideas
and willing to be chaperones. It is a really fun time! If you can
help out please call Wilma Makkinga at 782 0494.

The Glory Story
On this edition of the White Horse Inn the
hosts discuss the influence of both Pelagianism and Gnosticism in the American
religious landscape. And the net result is what they refer to as "the Glory
Story." In contrast to the theology of glory, however, the hosts make a
case for recovering a clear understanding of the "theology of the
cross."

Who Needs Church?
In his recent book Revolution,
George Barna suggests that Christians no longer need to join churches, but
rather should simply look for life-coaches, and helpful information for
spiritual growth via the internet. But can we simply do away with Church? What
is the true role of the church? That's what's on tap this week at the White
Horse Inn.
