·       The White Horse Inn is a nationally syndicated radio talk show hosted by Michael Horton, Rod Rosenbladt, Kim Riddlebarger and Ken Jones. On the air since 1990, the show features a regular roundtable discussion of Christian theology and apologetics. For nearly 15 years, the Lord has used the White Horse Inn, a listener-supported broadcast, to transform individual lives and churches by informing Christians of what they believe and why they believe it. More and more people are turning to the White Horse Inn for biblical literacy in the contemporary world.

·       This is a local Christian School for Lacombe/Ponoka and area that provides a Christ centered education for our children. Monies collected are used to supplement the budget, making Christian Education also available for those who cannot pay the tuition.

Ø    Garth and I would like to thank the church family for all the prayers, meals, visits and help when Evelyn was sitting with her father during his many strokes.  It is such a blessing to have a giving church family in times of need.  Again thank-you.           Garth and Evelyn Pol

Ø    Dear Congregation,

We don't know where to start. It has been a rough couple of months for us, and through all this, we have experienced (again) the love and care from all of you. In Gods Word and in His love, we can find the comfort and strength we need to see us through our sorrow. Our mom and oma is in a better place now, no pain or suffering.

Thank you so much for all your prayers, cards and words of encouragement, it meant a lot for all of us.  We will end with the song, my mom loved to sing.

Hymn 440 verse 4; In mansions of glory and endless delight,

                            I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;

                            I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;

                            If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

                                                                             The Rodenburg family

Whitehorse Inn Topics

June 29, 2008 Jesus, James & Paul

Do the messages of Jesus and Paul sometimes contradict one other? And what about James? Doesn't he teach that we are "justified by works, and not by faith alone"? Do various Biblical authors teach different theologies? That's what's on tap this week at the White Horse Inn (Originally broadcast on May 28th, 2006).

July 6, 2008 The Gospel According to Pelagius

Who was Pelagius and what did he teach about sin, grace and the gospel? Why have his views stayed with us through the centuries? On this edition of the White Horse Inn the hosts will discuss the history and influence of Pelagianism, as they continue their series Christless Christianity.

July 13, 2008 American Pelagianism

Why have the doctrines of grace been so difficult to take root in the American soil? What is it about the way we think and act as a people that makes Pelagianism so common, if not our very "default setting?" On this edition of the White Horse Inn, the hosts will continue their discussion of Pelagianism, with a particular focus on its influence in American religion and practice.

Can be heard on Edmonton : CJCA, 930AM: Sunday, 8:30AM and High River : CHRB, 1140AM: Sundays, 9pm live, or if you missed it can be heard online from: http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/The_White_Horse_Inn

Crossroad Connection is the restorative justice web radio ministry of Crossroad Bible Institute featuring veteran broadcaster Dr. David Feddes and is available to listen to at www.cbe.fm.  The topic for the upcoming week is as follows:

Week of June 29: Surpassing Family Values – A lot of people talk about promoting family values, but even those who deny God can have strong families. Dr. David Feddes will describe Jesus’ command to do much more than love our own relations.

From the Voice of the Martyrs: China - Pray for the release of the Pastor Zhang Mingxuan , president of Chinese House Church Alliance and his interpreter from prison.  Since his conversion in 1986 Pastor Zhang has been arrested beaten and incarcerated 12 times (Acts 12:5).  Ask God to strengthen Chinese Christians to continue honouring God despite pressure and opposition from the authorities.  Pray that international governments will hold China accountable for its abhorrent record of human rights.
